In two days, two boys traveled hundreds of kilometers unnecessarily in the United States because they boarded the wrong plane.
We recently wrote that a six-year-old boy from Philadelphia left to visit his grandmother on December 21st, but his grandson did not arrive at his destination, Fort Myers, because a Spirit Airlines employee put him on the wrong plane. Since then, we have also reported that the internal investigation took place and that the employee at fault was fired.
A day after the incident in Florida, on December 22, a 16-year-old boy wanted to fly to Cleveland, but ended up in Puerto Rico, the incident was just reported by CNN.
The boy was supposed to be visiting his mother, leaving Tampa on a Frontier Airlines flight, but “mistakenly got on another flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico,” she said. Jennifer de la Cruzthe airline’s director of corporate communications.
He added that the flights to Ohio and Puerto Rico departed from the same gate, with the latter plane departing first. According to the boy’s father, one of the employees did not read his child’s boarding pass and simply let him through.
Frontier sincerely apologized to the family for the error
