Hani al-Musaddar, the former coach of the Palestinian football team, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza. The Palestinian Football Association confirmed his death, stating that he was killed in an attack in the village of Al Musaddar in central Gaza.

Before retiring in 2018, al-Musaddar played for Al Magasil and Gaza Sports before taking charge as the coach of the Olympic team. His death adds to the growing number of casualties in the Palestinian sports sector, with 88 sportsmen, including 67 football players, and 24 sports officials, including technical staff, killed in Israel’s attack.

The Palestinian Football Association has sent a message to the International Olympic Committee and other sports federations, demanding an investigation into Israel’s ongoing crimes against the Palestinian sports sector and athletes. The association also reported that the Palestinian stadium in Gaza has been turned into a detention camp by the Israeli occupation forces.

The ongoing conflict in Gaza has resulted in a staggering number of casualties, with 22,722 people killed and 58,166 injured since October 7. The situation continues to deteriorate, and the international community is being urged to take action to address the violence and loss of life in the region.
