Ministers in Likud, Torah Judaism and religious Zionism participated last night (Sunday) in a conference calling for settlement in the Gaza Strip. During the conference, participants called for a transfer from Gaza, and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gabir agreed with them: “We should call for the encouragement of voluntary migration.”

Ben Gvir also said: “Everything was said 19 years ago when the concept ruled with a high hand. We cried out and warned but they did not listen and did not implement. Part of correcting the mistake is recognizing the sin of the concept that brought us October 7th and returning home to Gush Katif and northern Samaria. We need to return home and control the territory, To offer a moral and logical, Torah and Halachic solution, encouraging immigration and a death penalty law for terrorists.”

Also arriving at the conference were: Ministers Haim Katz, Mai Golan, Idit Silman, Amichai Shikli and Shlomo Karai. All factions of Otzma Yehudit, Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich, Chairman of Religious Zionism, Minister of Settlements Orit Struck. From Torah Judaism came Minister of Construction and Housing Yitzhak Goldknopf.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid responded on his Telegram account about the conference: “The most harmful government in the country’s history reaches a new low tonight. The settlement conference in Gaza of the ‘Otzma Yehudit’ party, with many ministers from the Likud party, is a disgrace to the head of Netanyahu and to a party that was once at the center of the national camp And now she is helplessly trailing behind the extremists. This is international damage, it is damage to a possible deal, it endangers the IDF soldiers, it is a terrible irresponsibility. Netanyahu is not qualified, this government is not qualified.” Bish Atid attacked: “The Likud, which stood up at Kahane’s speeches and left the plenum, now stands up to dance to the political tunes of his extreme successor at a political conference for the Gaza settlement. The way is lost.”
