Actress Claudia Alencar, 73 years old, has remained hospitalized at Clínica São Vicente, in Rio de Janeiro, since December 17th. She was diagnosed with a bacterial infection, which was controlled, but now has a new condition that prevents her from walking.
The actress’s son, Yann Hatchuel, told “Quem” magazine that family and friends are worried about her health. “I’m relieved that the bacterial infection is well controlled, but now I worry about this new problem,” he said. “Even after the surgery and with the infection in a more acute state, my mother was walking well. As this month passed, pain began to appear and worsen. At this point, she is no longer walking.”
Claudia Alencar’s office reported that the actress is undergoing new tests to clarify the cause of the pain syndrome. “For now, there is no forecast for hospital discharge”, says the medical bulletin signed by doctors Sergio Gurgel Fernandes and André Caetano Barbosa Campos.
