The Federal Councilor of the Swiss Confederation and the Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ignacio Cassis, will visit India on the 5th, the Ministry of External Affairs has informed. (MEA) said.

According to the Union Ministry of External Affairs, one of the major highlights of Khasis’s itinerary is to meet Union External Affairs Minister Jaishankar.

In a press release issued by the Federal Council in this regard, “Ignacio Cassis will focus on strengthening Switzerland’s network of relations in the Asia-Pacific region. His aim will be to bring peace to Ukraine. Asian economies have regained considerable momentum in the last two years. Following India, Cassis will also visit China, South Korea and the Philippines.” Will travel.

He will begin his Asian tour with a trip to New Delhi. His visit to India in 2018 will mark the 70th anniversary of Swiss-Indian friendship.
