Julia Klöckner was born on December 16, 1972 in Bad Kreuznach and comes from a conservative, Catholic winemaking family in Rhineland-Palatinate. During her midterm exam year in 1994, Klöckner was crowned Nahe Wine Queen. The following year she received the award as German Wine Queen for the term of office from 1995 to 1996. This success was the result of successful tests in areas such as wine cultivation and expansion as well as wine marketing.

The politician studied political science, Catholic theology and education in Mainz. Between 2018 and 2021 she held the office of Federal Minister of Agriculture in the Merkel cabinet. Despite her departure from this position, the former minister remains actively involved in the Bundestag.
