Cancel retirement. Jim Carrey was confirmed by the producers in the cast of “Sonic 3”. The actor will return to play the villain Robotnik, evil genius antagonist of Sonic. The film is scheduled to premiere in December 2024.
After the release of “Sonic 2”, Carrey stated that he was retiring from acting and only intended to participate in “one-off projects”. The tone of her speech indicated that she would no longer participate in feature films.
In addition to the comedian’s return, the film’s new logo was also revealed. The teaser indicated that the film will feature the conflict between Sonic and Shadow.
Sonic 2 hit theaters in 2022 and grossed more than US$400 million at the box office around the world.
