Mumbai: Hanuma Vihari is hoping to return to the Indian Test team with a smashing performance in the Ranji Trophy. Vihari has been performing brilliantly for Andhra Pradesh in Elite Group B. The team is in the second position with three wins from five matches. The player scored 365 runs in seven innings. Captain Ricky Bhui is the only Andhra batsman ahead of Vihari in terms of runs scored. Vihari told a sports media that he is disappointed and sad that he will not be able to play for the Indian team now.

“Everybody has ups and downs in career. My job now is to score in the Ranji Trophy. This Ranji season has been very good for me and the team. “My effort is to score more runs and return to the national team,” said Hanuma Vihari. Vihari also said that it seems that he is not on the radar of the Indian team selectors.

“Recently, no one related to the Indian team has spoken to me. Once Rahul Dravid spoke. This was after my last match. “I can perform better,” he said. After that there were no discussions with anyone. Improve my game. The only thought now is to have fun.”

“When he comes out to play, he only tries to perform well and score runs for the team. I am at the point where I don’t want any more hope. Whatever is meant to be done will be done.” – Vihari responded. Andhra Pradesh’s next match is against Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy. Vihari last played for India in 2022.
