Lara Gut-Behrami wins the Soldeu giant slalom from eighth place after the first round. This means she also takes over Lead in the overall World Cup.
She prevails with the smallest possible lead of one hundredth of a second over Alice Robinson. The American AJ Hurt (+0.15) completes the podium in third place.
Of the ÖSV women, Ricarda Haaser achieved the fastest running time and thus gained ten places and came eighth (+0.51). Julia Scheib is 13th (+1.27), Stephanie Brunner and Katharina Liensberger are in 23rd (+2.10) and 24th (+2.24).
