At the Verin Lars checkpoint, there are no queues or congestion in the direction going to Russia, as of the morning of October 5, about 250 Armenian trucks are on the roads from Armenia to Russia, some of them are going through formalities. Vahan Hakobyan, customs attaché attached to the RA Embassy in Russia, presented data in a conversation with “Armenpress”.

“At the moment, we do not have queues, accumulations in the direction entering Russia. Lars checkpoint is now operating as normal. As of this morning, about 250 Armenian trucks are on the roads from Armenia to Russia, that is, some are on the way, some have arrived, are being formalized, maybe some of them have been formalized and left. The previous day, 140 Armenian trucks, 35 of which were loaded with Armenian brandy, actually entered Russia after completing all customs formalities. And 207 went to Armenia,” said Hakobyan.

The customs attaché informed that late on October 4, the Russian side of Iroquoia withdrew the new regulation it had set regarding cognac. The Russian customs service started to carry out customs control over brandy exported from Armenia to Russia, all brandy leaving Armenia was subject to customs control, sometimes the product was sent for examination. Now this obstacle has been removed.

“Up to this moment, about 50 trucks loaded with cognac have been registered and entered the territory of Russia. Another 47 trucks are standing at the Lars checkpoint, waiting for the conclusion of the examination to move to the Russian Federation,” said Hakobyan.

The Russian side promised to give these answers very quickly. And within 1 week at most, those 47 trucks should also move.
