France has become the third country in the world by the number of millionaires, the BFMTV TV channel reported, citing the results of a study conducted by the Swiss bank UBS. According to them, the assets of 2.8 million people in France exceed one million dollars, 4.8% of the world’s millionaires live here.
According to the study, the USA is the first in the number of millionaires with 38.2 percent (22.7 million people), and China is in second place with 10.5 percent (6.23 million people).
As the TV channel noted, France took third place in this “rating list” for the first time, surpassing Japan, Germany and Great Britain in the number of millionaires, where the number of people with a million or more assets decreased in 2022.
According to economists’ estimates, the number of people with assets of one million dollars or more worldwide will decrease by 3.5 million in 2022. This is the highest rate of decline since 2008.
