The West blames Russia for all food problems, puts the responsibility of the expected world hunger on Russia, while the difficulties are related to the distribution of goods and price policy, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stated during his speech at the plenary session of the Eurasian Congress.
Mishustin noted that the UN has been talking about the deterioration of the situation in the food market for several years, but this situation has worsened over the last year due to the sharp increase in prices, and the prices of fuel and fertilizers have also increased sharply.
“Of course, it is customary in the West to blame Russia for all problems, to place the responsibility of the world hunger on Russia, at the same time, the UN does not record that there is an acute shortage of goods on a global scale. And the complications are caused, first of all, by their distribution and price policy,” said the Russian Prime Minister, presenting statistical data, according to which the world prices of the basket of food products have increased by almost 20 percent.
