The appointment of Francisco Ospina Ramírez as the new president of the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) was made official, ending 10 months of interim mandate at the institution.

The announcement was made through decree 0184, dated February 19 and issued by the President of the Republic, Gustavo Petro. Ospina Ramírez will formally occupy the position, succeeding Carolina Barbanti Mansilla, who served as director in charge of the ANI since October 8, 2023.

The news of Ospina’s appointment to the presidency of the ANI had been leaked since January 15, but was not confirmed until now. The decree, for its part, establishes the conclusion of Carolina Barbanti’s assignment and formally notifies both Ospina and Barbanti of the decision by the Subdirectorate of Human Talent of the Ministry of Transportation. The document bears the signature of the head of Transportation, William Camargo.
