Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin stated that Russia expects a clearer position from the CIS countries regarding the anti-Russian resolutions at the United Nations.

“It would be desirable that when considering the drafts of obviously anti-Russian resolutions at the UNGA, our partners would more clearly express their negative attitude to such initiatives, which are followed by blackening the name of our country and actions that hinder both the development of our country and mutually beneficial cooperation with the CIS.” – Pankin said during the session of the CIS permanent representatives in Minsk.

He added that Moscow, in its turn, will act appropriately during initiatives against the CIS countries, assuming that such will take place.

“In the framework of the UN General Assembly, cooperation with the CIS countries is one of the key directions of our cooperation, it is based on the overlap or similarity of approaches to many issues considered on that platform,” said the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia.
