The delegation of the RA State Revenue Committee participated in the regular session of the coordinating council of tax investigation bodies of the CIS in Minsk. This is reported by the SRC information and public relations department.
The 21st session of the Coordinating Council of Heads of Tax (Financial) Investigation Bodies of the CIS Member States was held under the chairmanship of the Head of the Department of Financial Investigations of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
The heads of tax investigation bodies of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan took part in the meeting. 2019-2023 were discussed. the progress of the implementation of the CIS interstate program of joint measures to fight crime and the current work programs of the Armenian National Security Council. The parties presented the activities carried out in the direction of ensuring the economic security of their countries and the accumulated experience, including the implementation of the agreement “On Cooperation of the CIS Participating States in the Fight against Tax Crimes”, the process of exchanging experience regarding the discovery of new schemes of economic crimes and offenses.
Vahan Charkhifalakyan, the head of the investigation and operational intelligence department of the RA SRC, presented to the session the department’s 2021 the performed activity.
The parties addressed issues of multilateral interest, in particular, 2020-2022. to the measures taken within the framework of the cooperation program of the CIS participating states in the fight against terrorism and other violent manifestations of extremism. They also discussed issues related to the practice of combating economic and corruption crimes carried out using the Internet and digital payment methods, illegal money circulation, and combating illegal gambling business.
Within the framework of the session of the RAMC, the RA delegation also participated in the celebrations dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Belarusian Financial Investigation Authority. The head of the delegation, head of the investigation and operational intelligence department of the SRC, Vahan Charkhifalakyan, was awarded with the jubilee medal dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the financial investigation bodies of Belarus.
It is planned that the next meeting of the coordination council of heads of tax investigation bodies of the CIS member states will be held in 2023 in Yerevan under the chairmanship of the RA SRC.
