On January 22, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Armenia, Bergliot Hovland, on the occasion of handing over a copy of his credentials.
RA Deputy Foreign Minister congratulated Ambassador Hovland on his appointment, wishing him fruitful work in his new position.
Paruyr Hovhannisyan expressed confidence that the ambassador will make maximum efforts during his mission to further develop relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the agenda of both bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues.
Issues related to the deepening of political dialogue, cooperation in trade and economic and international organizations were also discussed.
Reference was made to regional and international security issues. Paruyr Hovhannisyan presented to the interlocutor the steps aimed at the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The parties have expressed their readiness to make efforts to fully realize the existing potential of bilateral cooperation.
