Our youth team (under 20 years old) will face the UAE Olympic team at eight o’clock this evening, Saturday, in the second round of the fifth West Asian Federation Olympic Team Championship (under 23 years old).
A statement by the media channel of the Football Association, received by the (INA), stated that “the youth team held its final training session in preparation for facing the UAE Olympic team at Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium in the Saudi city of Al-Ahsa, in the presence of the head of the youth team delegation (Mohammed Nasser) and the deputy head of the delegation (Rahim Lafta).” It was supervised by the coaching staff and with the participation of all players.”
The statement added, “The result of the match will determine the winner to play for fifth and sixth places in the sequence of participating teams, while the losing team will be present in the match to determine seventh and eighth places.”
Our youth team lost its first match in the tournament against the Australian Olympic team by two goals to one.
