Citizens and the business world can already buy Akba Bank’s listed shares. In 2021, the bank carried out a public placement of 500,000 shares with a total volume of 7.5 billion drams.

The bank’s shares are included in the most important A platform of the Armenian Stock Exchange.

“We announced the listing of Akba Bank’s shares on the stock exchange. Today is a historic day for both the bank and the bank’s shareholders and, why not, the business world in Armenia. We have successfully completed the stage of the IPO, that is, the primary allocation of shares, we have 5270 shareholders. The last stage was the quotation on the stock exchange, the process of which we announced. I would like many companies to follow our example, because there should be many companies like us on the stock exchange, shares of open joint-stock companies, so that we are generally interesting for foreign investors as well. I think that the best way for us to secure investments in Armenia is to acquire shares through the stock exchange,” said Hakob Andreasyan, Chief Executive Officer of Akba Bank.

“Akba Bank can be said to be the bank that has attracted the widest range of funds. The bank’s primary placement lasted for several weeks and was carried out using special technologies through an online platform through their banking program and attracted a very large number of investors in a very short time. It can be said that this is a success for the capital market of Armenia. It is also the only company that tried not only to end its work with the primary placement, but also tries as a bank, as a broker, to form activity and vivacity in the secondary market, so that there is supply and demand in the secondary market as well,” said the General Director of the Armenian Stock Exchange. Hayk Yeganyan.
