The management board of the “Public Voice” party issued a message, where they announced that Vardan Ghukasyan’s membership in the “Public Voice” party was terminated.

“On January 9, 2024, a meeting of the management board of the “Public Voice” party took place.

It was found out at the meeting that Vardan Ghukasyan, a member of the party council, is also a citizen of the Russian Federation, registered in the city of Kaliningrad, Russia.

Pursuant to clause 3.8.5 of the party’s charter, in case of obtaining citizenship of another state, party membership is terminated.

Based on this, the management board considered Vardan Ghukasyan’s membership in the party terminated.

On the basis of their own applications, the membership of 11 more members of the party council was terminated.

The council also took note of the power of attorney of the head of the council, Artak Galstyan, by which the powers of the head of the management board of the latter were transferred to the member of the council, Gagik Galstyan, terminating the operation of the power of attorney with the same content given to the member of the party’s council, Vahan Avagyan.

In addition, the management board of the “Public Voice” party, taking into account the news spread in the press, informs citizens and party members that the “Public Voice” party has no decision to convene an extraordinary congress, such a congress will not be held on January 19.

On January 19 of this year, the congress called by a person named Vardan Ghukasyan, a former member of the party, at the Marriott Hotel, is illegal, because it has nothing to do with the “Public Voice” party.

We also appeal to the RA law enforcement officers to stop the illegal gathering called the congress illegally called on behalf of the “Public Voice” party.

We hereby also declare that the person named Vardan Ghukasyan no longer has any political connection, neither with the “Public Voice” party nor with the party’s faction in the Yerevan City Council of Elders, and neither the party nor the members of the council of elders are under any obligation to follow the latter’s instructions or instructions. To convey information to him about the activities of the Yerevan Municipality.

“Anyone who carries out such activity, be it a member of the party or the council of elders, should realize that he is doing it on his personal responsibility and will bear all the responsibility of the criminal legal consequences arising from it,” the message reads.
