These authorities are constantly causing new problems for patients and doctors, human rights defender Anush Poghosyan, co-founder of the “Right to Health” NGO, said during the “Pressing” program of 168TV, referring to the introduction of electronic prescriptions.

“Dear administration, the Ministry of Health deceived you, the system is not ready. On the very first day, the system “fell down”, did not work… After March 1, 400 pharmacies joined the “Armed” system, but in reality there are about 2,600 licensed pharmacies in RA, it turns out that they do not even have information about the correct number of registered pharmacies.” said the specialist, emphasizing what other consequences the issue of missing drugs with electronic prescriptions will lead to for citizens.

“There are already endless queues in polyclinics, which, if this continues, will lead to the activation of self-medication and the black market of drugs.

Medicines will become more expensive, the citizen will feel the results on his consumer basket.

The sale will include illegal and unregistered drugs. There is no clear control,” he said.

Anush Poghosyan noted that the regional healthcare sector is facing and will continue to face problems.

“If you have decided that the services in the “Armed” system are free, then why do the medical institutions of rural communities pay round sums of money every year? I assume that in the future there will be payments for each pharmacy, not only for the service, but also for each prescription.

Once in 180 days, the patient must go and ask for a prescription from the doctor treating him. Many of the regional medical facilities do not have the appropriate specialists, for example, a pediatric endocrinology specialist. It turns out that not being able to get a prescription in the rural clinic, the patient has to come to the capital.

Why do you put people’s health at risk? “Why do you blame the inaction of the health inspection body and the shortcomings of the pharmacies on the patient?” the specialist emphasized.
