Jatiya Sangsad Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury has submitted nomination papers for the 25-member panel on the occasion of Parliament Members Club Executive Committee Election-2024. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on April 4 and voting for Parliament Members Club election will be held on April 8.
On Tuesday (April 2), Chief Election Commissioner Benazir Ahmed and Election Commissioner Sanjida Khanam of the Election Commission formed on the occasion of the Parliament Member’s Club Executive Committee Election-2014 accepted the nomination papers. It is reported that no other candidate is contesting the election outside this panel.
It is customary for the elections to be held within 90 days of the National Assembly elections.
It is known that Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury is the president and Captain (retd) AB Tajul Islam is the general secretary in the submitted panel.
ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury as co-chairman, Whip Iqbalur Rahim and Mahbub Ara Begum Gini as co-general secretary, Whip Nazrul Islam Babu as co-general secretary, State Minister Nahid Izahar Khan as treasurer and former Chief Whip A. S. M. Feroze, Minister of State Rumana Ali and Zara Zabeen Mahbub are there.
