Russian tennis player with Armenian roots Karen Khachanov and Russian tennis player Andrey Rublyov held a charity match, the proceeds of which will be given to Artsakh Armenians. Armsport.am reports this.

Khachanov said that more than 100,000 dollars was collected in a charity match with tennis player Andrey Rublyov in the US city of Glendale in order to help the Armenians of Artsakh.

“Last Saturday, we again held a charity meeting in support of the people of Armenia and Artsakh. This year we managed to collect more than 100,000 dollars.

I would like to thank everyone who participated in this event. In particular, to my good friend Andrey Rublyov, who did not remain indifferent, to the organizers, the Homenetmen Glendale Ararat club represented by Eric Esrailyan, as well as to my sponsors Wilson and Nike, who in the shortest time managed to send more than 100 rackets and uniforms for children.

My way to help Armenia and the people of Artsakh is still in the initial stage, but I hope that even these small steps will lead to favorable changes in the near future,” wrote Khachanov.

In the exhibition match, Khachanov won 6-3, 4-6, 10-8. The match took place at the Homenetmen Glendale Ararat tennis club.
