Toivo Klaar, the EU’s special representative for the South Caucasus, commented on the message of the EU observation mission regarding the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
He noted that it is good to have a confirmation from the EU observation mission in Armenia that no unusual military movement was observed on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
“This is exactly the purpose of the mission: to ensure greater transparency and create trust. We are also open to more active interaction with the authorities of Azerbaijan,” Klaar wrote in “X”.
To remind, Azerbaijan spread another disinformation, to which the RA Ministry of Defense responded, stressing that the situation on the border is stable.
“The message spread by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan that the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia are carrying out accumulations of personnel, armored equipment, artillery and other fire means in different directions of the border zone, is carrying out active movements, does not correspond to the reality,” said the Ministry of Defense.
