The RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports presents the list of athletes participating in the 2023 “10 Best Athletes of the Year” competition of the Republic of Armenia.
From the list below, the head coaches of the RA national teams and sports journalists accredited by the ministry will choose the 10 best athletes of the year. They will carry out an open vote, marking the consecutive (individual) numbers of a maximum of 10 athletes from the contestants and arranging the order of the top ten.
The selection of the “10 best athletes of the year” competition will take place on December 21.
The following athletes are participating in the competition:
Artur Aleksanyan – 2023: European Greco-Roman wrestling champion, silver medalist of the World Championship,
Arman Aghajanyan – 2023: silver medalist of the World Senior Sambo Championship,
Amoyan Malkhas – 2023: European Greco-Roman wrestling champion, World Championship bronze medalist,
Arman Andreasyan – 2023: bronze medalist of the World Freestyle Wrestling Championship,
Arman Avanesyan – 2023: champion of the adult European Sambo Championship, bronze medalist of the World Championship,
Hovhannes Bachkov – 2023: bronze medalist of the World Boxing Championship,
Grigoryan Davit – 2023: silver medalist of the World Senior Sambo Championship,
Grigoryan Vahram – 2023: silver medalist of the World Senior Sambo Championship,
Grigoryan Varsik – 2023: silver medalist of the adult European Sambo Championship, bronze medalist of the World Championship,
Arthur Davtyan – 2023: gold and bronze medalist of the European Gymnastics Championship,
Tevanyan Vazgen – 2023: European champion of freestyle wrestling, bronze medalist of the World Championship,
Lalayan Varazdat – 2023: silver medalist of the European and World Weightlifting Championships,
