The Urban Development Committee reports that on March 27, the newly appointed chairman of the committee, Yeghiazar Vardanyan, met with the heads of construction organizations involved in the projects commissioned by the committee. The process of implementation of projects that are coming to an end in the near future, obstacles and ways to solve problems were discussed.
Yeghiazar Vardanyan noted the importance of working on the principle of partnership mutual trust and the readiness of the committee. He assured that in a short time the attendees will receive exhaustive answers to the raised questions, at the same time he demanded the builders to perform the works with quality and according to the schedule.
“The government has set a clear goal by directing funds to the construction of schools, kindergartens, gymnasiums and other institutions. Therefore, proper and quality work is required from all circles. Be sure that there will be no compromise on quality, poor quality work will not be accepted. In case of not correcting the defects, not acting according to the established rules, there will be a severe reaction. And those partners who will be guided by the required principles and work style suitable for builders, will receive the full support of the committee not only in this but also in the framework of any other project,” emphasized Yeghiazar Vardanyan.
The participants of the meeting attributed the existing shortcomings and time violations to various circumstances related to the project stage, estimated cost, supplier organizations. In response to the questions raised, the chairman of the committee assured that in all cases substantiated and documented by arguments, the committee is ready to support the speedy settlement of issues within the framework of the legislation, involving other state agencies if necessary. During the meeting, it was also decided to create a quick response link with the construction organizations implementing the projects.
The newly appointed head of the committee has assured that the meetings with the representatives of the sector will be regular, in addition to the construction projects, they will also discuss the ideas on reforming the sector and the proposals of the private sector.
Yeghiazar Vardanyan expressed his determination to organize and improve the work of the committee, informing about the intention to strengthen the potential of the committee, to form new professional groups in certain directions.
Yesterday, the chairman of the Urban Development Committee also had a meeting with the representatives of the technical control organizations to clarify the principles of cooperation.
