Police seize over Rs 5.5 crore cash and Rs 2 crore worth of jewelery from Karnataka jeweler’s house

In Karnataka, police have seized Rs 5.5 crore cash and Rs 2 crore worth of jewelery from the house of a jeweller.

The police conducted a surprise raid at the house of Naresh Soni, a jeweler from Kambali Bazaar in Bellary district of Karnataka. During the raid, the police seized unaccounted money of five and a half crore rupees and 3 kg of gold and 103 kg of silver jewellery, and immediately informed the enforcement department and the income tax department. The police are actively investigating the background of this whether money and jewelery were hoarded to distribute to the voters as it was election time.
