For Claudia Sheinbaum, candidate for the Presidency of Mexico for the “Let’s Keep Making History” coalition, the questions in the debates should be general and the time slot should be used to present proposals or refute opponents.

“What we are proposing (is) to bring more general questions to the next table of the debate, as far as possible. If you remember in the 2018 debates there was room for debate and some topics,” he commented.

After holding a private meeting with the Episcopate, the candidate insisted that the National Electoral Institute (INE) must allow the candidates to go deeper into the projects.

“If the questions had been: what is your education project?; It allows you to explain more, and not specific questions that also in some cases came with a vision, then in what you answer the question and refute,” he said.

When asked if ITESO could influence the selection of questions for the debate, Sheinbaum responded that a review would have to be done.

“First the ITESO with an association, then a group from the INE with the drivers, then we would have to see what questions were asked and which ones were selected to be able to give a specific orientation,” he explained.
