The death toll from last night’s shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the city of Tokmak has reached ten people, including three children, authorities in the Russian-controlled part of southern Ukraine’s Zaporozhye region said, citing Reuters. Earlier today it was reported that there were eight victims, including two children.

Yevgeny Balitsky, head of the Russian-appointed administration in the Zaporozhye region, reported that 18 people were wounded in the shelling.

“Two people are missing. The clearing of the debris and the search continue,” he wrote on the Telegram social network.

Vladimir Rogov, another high-ranking official of the Russian-appointed administration in Zaporozhye region, added on his Telegram social network profile that five houses in the city were partially destroyed.

Meanwhile, Russian-appointed local authorities said seven people were injured in a rocket attack on the city of Luhansk in Ukraine’s eastern region of the same name. Rogov said today that the hits were near a bus stop and a machine-building factory. According to him, three people were injured and several residential buildings were damaged.

Ukrainian media claim that the target of the attack was a military unit and combat vehicles located near the plant, writes BTA.

Reuters notes that it is unable to independently verify the data.
