The State Security this Saturday he summoned independent Cuban journalistJosé Luis Tan Estrada, for a “supposed” interview.
This was announced by the Camagüey communicator himself through his social networks, where he specified that the summons was in the Third Unit of the Castro police in the city of Camaguey.
Hours later, the independent Cuban journalist announced the reason why he was summoned by State Security, stating that he was threatened by the Castros in order to stop him from doing independent journalism on the island, and not continue denouncing the crisis on their social networks.
José Luis Tan Estrada indicated that on this occasion he was treated by a PNR captain.
“The purpose of the summons: to threaten me so that I stop doing independent journalism, the activities I carry out in the province regarding the issue of aid and that I stop publishing on social networks.“He specified in a post on his Facebook profile.

In that sense, Tan Estrada considered that the Castro dictatorship is afraid of true journalism, while emphasizing that it will continue doing its job and denouncing the precariousness that Cubans experience within the communist island.
Likewise, the Cuban journalist indicated that the Castro agent sent him a warning letter “which reflected some alleged crimes said by him.”
“I only answered him and I reaffirm it again here: I am not going to stop doing journalism, I will continue to report and help those most in need,” the communicator stated in a post on Facebook where he published a photo after leaving the police unit.
These types of situations only reveal once again how the dictatorship continues to persecute and harass journalists on the island who, with their work, reveal the reality that exists in the country and that is not broadcast in the state media.
