The repressive body of the regime detained the independent journalist José Luis Tan Estrada this Friday, while he was arriving in Havana.
According to the publication of activist Lara Crofs, the communicator was taken to the State Security Headquarters, Villa Marista.
“We couldn’t talk much, he only told me that they stopped him entering Havana, that he has been there since 2pm and that it was only now that they let him make a single call to communicate. Please, let’s make this viral, we all know perfectly well what happens in those cells, the torture and psychological pressures to which the people who are transferred there are subjected, even more so being an activist and independent journalist,” said Crofs.
This is a new act of arbitrariness against the Cuban opponents, it shows that in recent months there has been an increase in the repressive wave, since José Luis Tan Estrada himself has been summoned at least five times so far anus.
“The order is clear, not to allow people who they consider to be high-profile for security, to meet or leave their provinces, especially if it is a direction to the capital. Let us remember the recent case of the beloved teacher Alina Bárbara López Hernández, who was arbitrarily detained, mistreated, violated and prevented from continuing her journey to the capital. She violates all of her rights as a free citizen. The activist demanded the immediate release of the Cuban communicator, since he has not committed any crime.
