In the sports arena, football field has the highest number of regulations. However, as time is very important in the game, the rules are being tightened day by day. This time, three new rules are being added to Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States. One of them is that if you act without being injured on the field, you have to leave the field.

Three new rules will be introduced from next Saturday (April 20). In two of the three rules, however, Messi-Suarez will have an advantage if it is done by the opposing team’s players. If the players of their own team do that, the opposite danger will increase for Inter Miami.

The first of the three rules requires that a player be off the field for two minutes if he is on the field for more than 15 seconds without being injured or with a general injury. That is, after he is taken off the field for treatment, he must return two minutes later. However, this rule will not apply if the referee card is shown or in case of major injury.

Second, the substitute must leave the field within 10 seconds. Substitutes often waste time on purpose. According to MLS’s new rules, a match official must leave the touchline within 10 seconds of showing his jersey number on the electronic board.

If the substitute cannot leave the field on the touch line within 10 seconds, there is a penalty. The penalty is that the substitute player must enter the field at least one minute or later after the game has been stopped for any reason.

The third rule is the announcement of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in the stadium. This rule was shown at the World Cup in Qatar. In this rule, how the VAR decision is taken or on what basis it is taken, will be explained to the spectators at the stadium during the match. However, the original discussion between the VAR official and the referee will remain confidential.
