/ Al-Karkh Club lost, on Saturday, its match with Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Club in the Iraqi Youth League, due to Al-Karkh Club not implementing the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) regulations.
Kazem Fleih, coach of the Air Force team, told Agency, “The referee of the match considered Al-Karkh to lose against our team 0-3 because he did not provide an ambulance inside the Scouts Stadium, which is hosting the match and is considered a stadium for Al-Karkh.”
Falih added, “The referee of the match followed the international law that the Iraqi Football Association applies, which requires the host team to provide an ambulance in every match. If it is not there, the match will not go ahead.”
Fleih indicated that he “tried to convince the team supervisor to resume playing without an ambulance, but he refused because that was not permissible internationally or locally.”
He added, “He asked the Al-Karkh team to provide an ambulance, and called on the referee of the match to grant a deadline for that.”
He stated, “The referee responded to my wish, but Al-Karkh Club failed to prepare the car and announced the end of the match 24 minutes after the scheduled start time, announcing the victory of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, noting that the time granted in such cases is 15 minutes.”
