The Prime Minister’s Advisor for Investment Affairs, Muhammad al-Najjar, confirmed today, Thursday, that the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani to Washington is the best in years, while noting that hundreds of American companies have expressed their desire to explore the Iraqi market.
Al-Najjar said in a statement to the “Duty of Frankness” program, broadcast by Al-Iraqiya News and followed by the (INA), that “the Prime Minister’s visit to Washington is one of the best visits in years as it focused on the economy and investment,” indicating that “there is a real desire from American companies.” To enter and study entry into the Iraqi market, as hundreds of American companies have so far expressed their desire to explore the Iraqi market.”
He added that “not a day goes by without talking about gas investment, and the American side has expressed its readiness to support Iraq in gas investment,” noting that “for the first time there is talk about the entry of American investments into Iraq outside of energy, and a memorandum was also signed with the “MAC” company to build… A truck factory in Iraq, and we agreed on economical street lighting that will save 51 percent of energy.”
