New Delhi : Leaders of all parties are campaigning with full vigor regarding the current elections. The prominent faces who are commanding the campaign from the Congress side include Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and former President Rahul Gandhi, besides Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi. If Congress is campaigning in the country keeping in mind the first two phases, then if we look at their campaign programmes, it is clear that initially Priyanka Gandhi is handling the campaign in the North. Whereas Kharge and Rahul have more emphasis on South. However, he is also campaigning in the North. On the other hand, Priyanka Gandhi has started moving towards South from Friday. According to Congress sources, these three faces are in highest demand from the party candidates. These three leaders are holding two to three rallies daily in one state and sometimes in two states. According to party sources, as the elections progress, their programs and demands will continue to increase.
Congress President Kharge is campaigning vigorously
Mallikarjun Kharge conducted a regular roadshow in the north-eastern area of Delhi and also distributed copies of the party’s manifesto and letter from door to door. Priyanka Gandhi is also in great demand. Till now, she was seen holding roadshows, public meetings and interacting with people in Roorkee and Ramnagar in Uttarakhand, Saharanpur in UP, Jaipur, Daura, Alwar, Jalore in Rajasthan. While she was seen asking for votes for Tharoor in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, she has campaigned for the party in Tripura in North East and Jorhat in Assam. Women voters are considered to be a major reason behind Priyanka Gandhi’s demand. An important Congress strategist said that the main reason for Priyanka’s popularity is that people see the image of her grandmother in her. On the other hand, he easily makes connections among women. Therefore, their demand is coming from the candidates. From Kerala to Jorhat, Priyanka reaching out to women and talking to them and participating in their programs is attracting huge crowds. Priyanka is continuously raising issues like youth unemployment, inflation, women’s safety.

BJP’s face PM Modi also in the fray
On the other hand, from BJP’s side, their main face PM Narendra Modi is continuously in the fray. On one hand, he goes to non-BJP ruled states and raises questions on the ruling parties there, putting their governments in the dock. On the other hand, he is targeting the constituent parties of the Indian alliance, especially the Congress, on issues like corruption and nepotism. When he went to Tamil Nadu, he raised the issue of nepotism and corruption of the ruling DMK, while in Bengal he fiercely attacked the Mamata Banerjee government over Sandeshkhali.

PM Modi is also continuously visiting two to three states every day. Along with counting the achievements of his government, he is also highlighting the scams that have taken place in the states during more than half a decade of the Congress government. On Saturday he was in Parbhani in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. Apart from BJP, PM Modi’s demand is also coming from NDA’s allies. PM Modi has a special emphasis on UP, the maximum number of Lok Sabha seats come from here. He has visited from Amroha in UP to Damoh in Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Tripura in the North East and from Assam to Tamil Nadu and Kerala in the South. BJP is trying to build its grassroots base in states like Tamil Nadu and Kerala. On the day of Ram Navami, PM Modi was in Nalbari, Assam.
