The world chess championships for girls and boys under 14, 16 and 18 years of age continue in Mamaia, Romania.
After four rounds, 18-year-old chess player Mariam Mkrtchyan is performing excellently. She has won 4 consecutive victories in her age group and now single-handedly leads the table. In today’s 5th round, she will compete with Mongolian Bat-Erdene Mungunzul.
14-year-old Ani Avetisyan also performed successfully, who won the current round and is in 5th place with 3.5 points.
18-year-old Mamikon Gharibyan and 16-year-old Emin Ohanyan and Arsen Davtyan continue to perform confidently among the young chess players of Armenia. The first took the 3rd place in the 4th round and now shares 3.5 points between the 1st and 7th places. Today he will face Polish International Master Jonas Baum in black.

The championships are held in the Swiss format and consist of 11 rounds.
