The leadership of the National Action Party (PAN) expressed its dismay and condemned the murder of Noé Ramos Ferretiz, candidate for municipal president of Ciudad Mante, Tamaulipas. “We express our strongest condemnation of this act of violence that threatens democracy and peace in our society.
“Noe Ramos Ferretiz dedicated his life to public service and building a better future for his community,” said the national leader of the PAN, Marko Cortés.

He demanded that the competent authorities carry out a prompt and exhaustive investigation to clarify the facts and bring those responsible to justice.
He reiterated the urgent call to the electoral authorities and the federal government to establish effective coordination between the authorities of the three levels of government, in order to generate security conditions in what, he maintained, is the process most violent with at least 36 politically motivated murders.

“We want the safety of the candidates to be guaranteed and protection to be provided to those who actively participate in the electoral process,” he added.
On behalf of National Action, he reiterated the absolute rejection of any form of violence.
“We will not allow acts like this to undermine our peaceful coexistence and the construction of a just and equitable society. We call on society as a whole to reject violence and to work together for a Mexico without fear, for a Mexico in peace,” he noted.
