Leaders and members of 15 of the main unions in Mexico City and the country, which bring together millions of workers, expressed their support for the government project led by Clara Brugada Molinacandidate for Head of Government for the Let’s Keep Making History coalition, during the Labor Reforms meeting that took place at Deportivo Churubusco.
“We do not come to ask, we come to offer our support for the construction of the city of rights and freedoms that you propose, which goes hand in hand with the political proposal of Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, “Whom we fully support and we are sure that she will be the next president of the Republic,” said Martín Esparza Flores, general secretary of the New Central of the Mexican Union of Electricians (SME), before a packed auditorium.
Esparza Flores recalled that the SME has always been on the side of the best causes of the people of Mexico, accompanying their fight for social justice, freedom and democracy, and now that “it is more alive than ever, the organizations that make up the new We agree with your project, Clara Brugada, and we are sure that it will reach the Head of Government. And we are ready to go for utopias throughout Mexico City.”
In his speech, Arturo Olivares, general secretary of the National Union of Social Security Workers (SNTSS), expressed his support and recognition for the capital candidate of Morena-PT-PVEM, Clara Brugada, “a woman with a very extensive career in life. public and in the political and government work in Mexico City, which has all the credentials to become the head of Government of this great metropolis.”
The union leader expressed his confidence that Brugada will be the winner in the June 2 elections, and stated that “surely this afternoon he has felt the support and shelter of women and men who believe in his government project. You are a brave woman, always moving forward, who does not shy away from the commitments made, who does not like injustice in any of its manifestations.
It is appropriate to say, in this plethora of context, that the unions represented here trust that you will be the next head of Government in Mexico City.”
On the occasion, Miguel Medina, secretary of Escalafón, Educational Promotion and Union Training of Semarnat, thanked the candidate for having given an important place to young people in her political project and expressed his conviction that Clara Brugada and her proposals are the height of an environmental policy in Mexico City.
“From the Semarnat union, which is made up of the National Water Commission, the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection, the National Forestry Commission, the National Institute of Ecology, Climate Change and the National Commission of Protected Natural Areas, we want to accompany you In this process, we want you to see in the union an ally and a friend to face all the environmental policy demands that the city requires. Norma Palacios, general secretary of the National Union of Domestic Workers, asked that the candidate for Head of Government commit to working together with the domestic workers sector and the union movement, after for decades the Housework has been undervalued and stereotyped, despite its significant contribution to the country’s progress.
Meanwhile, José Luis Telléz, national commissioner of the Telephone Operators Union of the Mexican Republic, expressed his confidence that Clara Brugada’s campaign will be successful and that her government exercise will be characterized by efficiency, development of the city and participation of the workers.

The candidate for Head of Government praised the decades of struggle of all these union organizations to do justice to the workers, and pointed out that her government program is a challenge of profound transformation, “but I trust in the capabilities, the talent, in the creativity and strength of our workers to achieve it together.”
“We want free and democratic unions like you, and we are going to support you. I propose that we make utopias a reality, and I am referring to the deepest aspirations and desires of many workers. We want a city where all people are treated with dignity and respect. “We want a city where the voice of every worker is heard loud and clear,” he stated.
