Major highways of Lahore city were closed for general traffic, citizens got stuck in traffic jam during rain, long queues of vehicles were formed on Mall Road, Jail Road, Canal Road.
Mall Road of Lahore is closed from Cantt to Governor House and from Hall Road to Lower Mall, Greater Iqbal Park. The traffic police did not provide alternative routes to the citizens, the citizens stuck in the traffic jam are facing problems.
Data Durbar Road from Minar Pakistan has been closed for general traffic, adjacent streets of Durbar, traffic pressure in other streets including Bilal Ganj, other important highways including Ladi Ada from Azadi Flyover have also been closed.
Shahdara Bridge has been closed for all traffic from Lahore, PMG Chowk, Data Durbar from Kachhari Chowk has been completely closed, Bhati Chowk, Anarkali and adjoining roads have also been closed for normal traffic. CTO Lahore Amara Athar says that Shahdara side Sigian Bridge, Outfall Road is open for traffic, Lower Mall and adjacent roads are also closed for traffic, citizens should avoid unnecessary travel.
