Cartagena de Indias DT y C., April 18, 2024. In support of the civic day announced by the national government for this Friday, April 19, in order to save water and electricity, the District Education Secretariat joins said initiative and classes will be suspended in all official educational institutions of the District during this date.
This was announced by the district secretary of education, Alberto Martínez, who stated that private schools, in accordance with their administrative autonomy, may also join this initiative if they consider it necessary.
In accordance with the difficult situation facing the country, the call is reiterated to the Cartagena community in general, the hotel union and different productive sectors of the city so that, through good practices, they spare no effort in saving water and consumption of responsible electrical energy.
The civic day will only host the official educational institutions of the District, so the different agencies will provide their services in person.
