The Prosecutor’s Office investigates possible irregularities in the electoral financing of the 2022 presidential campaign.
The Attorney General’s Office has put the financing of the 2022 presidential campaign under scrutiny, among the relevant names is Francia Márquez, who holds the position of vice president.
According to known information, they are currently carrying out six research processes for alleged irregular financing during the elections. Among the candidates under scrutiny is the senior official, whose campaign is being examined for possible irregularities.
Vice President Francia Márquez has come out in defense of her management and the transparency of her campaign. In her statements, Márquez affirmed that his team acted with integrity and honestycarrying out a clean campaign that was based on the voices of the most vulnerable and marginalized sectors of the country.

“I can tell all Colombians and the world that my heart is in the right place. I came here from the most humble background, as a social leader and because of my work2, said Márquez, who added that “the process that was carried out to join President Petro to govern Colombia was done with all honesty and transparency.”
The vice president also highlighted Gustavo Petro’s career, ensuring that his firm stance against corruption is widely recognized. “If there is anyone in this country who has fought against corruption, it has been him,” Márquez added.
