The following statement was issued by the mayor of Rhodes, Mr. Alexandros Koliadis, regarding the cooperation with Kolossos regarding the stadium issue: “At a time when some are obsessively investing in division, we are moving forward as we promised. Producing work and implementing our plan for a modern, humane and friendly to residents and visitors, Rhodes. No matter how many obstacles they try to put in our way, we remain true to our commitment that we will not let a single day of our municipal tenure go by lost. The expansion of the indoor gym of Kallithea in the very first months of our term, is our response to those who distort reality to serve their micro-political agenda.
Our team Kolossos H Hotels will have a stadium worthy of its course and Rhodes will be able to host official European sports events as a safe and welcoming destination! The expansion of the field and the increase in capacity of the Indoor Gym of Kallithea is just the beginning! It was a fair request of the players, the actors, the fans and also the Rhodian society. As a Municipal Authority, we have placed high on our priorities the projects of upgrading the sports infrastructure as well as the creation of new ones, with a five-year planning. Our goal is to bring our children, in the city and in the villages, close to sports, to strengthen the Academies and to support their work. We stand next to the sports associations and clubs of Rhodes, we record their requests and listen to their ideas in order to strengthen their actions and the purpose they serve”.
