Kim Petras was actually supposed to appear at several festivals this summer. But now the German singer and Grammy winner has canceled all concerts. The reason was “health problems,” as she announced in her Instagram story.
“On medical advice, I had to make this difficult decision not to perform at festivals this summer,” the 31-year-old said in the statement. “I love you so much and I will make it up to you and be back better than ever soon,” she promises her fans.
Her followers were of course sad that all of the singer’s performances were canceled – but mostly reacted with understanding and well-wishes. “Recover and get back on your feet quickly, my beautiful angel,” wrote one user on Instagram. “Get well soon! Take your time,” said one fan.
Another comment reads: “We love you! I hope you can perform again soon and feel better than ever. Take care of yourself!” Another subscriber commented: “Hope you feel better soon, you’re a queen.”
Therapy after success
Kim Petras was supposed to perform at four festivals this summer. On May 29th she is listed in the line-up for the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, on June 1st she was announced for the Mighty Hoopla in London, on June 6th she was announced for the Primavera Porto Festival in Portugal and on July 19th she was announced They are scheduled to perform at the Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle.
She kept details about the health problems to herself. However, in March she revealed to Britain’s “Cosmopolitan” that she had gone to therapy after her Grammy success last year. “Therapy was necessary for me after I had a big song to learn how to turn everything off,” said Kim Petras. After her great success with her song “Unholy,” she suddenly experienced increased attention around herself. “Nothing can prepare you for this level of attention,” explained the 31-year-old. “It was crazy.”
