While Guinea, like other countries in the world, is faced with not the least global warming, the company Fapel Guinée, based in the commune of Labehas just developed a technology that could deal with this situation, avoiding excessive felling of wood and environmental pollution.
This concerns the invention of stoves which operate on the basis of waste oil, rolling machines.
This beautiful creation was presented to MediaGuinee on Saturday, April 20, at the company’s headquarters located in Safatou.
Met in his office, the first manager of this company Aguibou Barry confided: . “It’s a cooker made from waste oil, petroleum, or recycled vegetable oils. The stove works with these substances. We have adapted a system on burners with a small fan which works with a hybrid system and also with electricity. These stoves allow you to prepare rice, sauce and other foods you want quite quickly, they are three times faster than gas, with zero risk of explosion, they are also very ecological and economical. We implemented this technology to first support our citizens who are going through difficult times. So we said to ourselves that with waste oils which are easy to obtain and which are dumped everywhere and which pollutes the environment, therefore with these stoves, we can both reduce the difficulties in households, and fight against the environmental pollution. You can connect the stoves with a hybrid solar system which runs the small fans, you can use the platform in the middle of the bush to also dry fruit and vegetables.”
Asked why he had the idea of developing this technology, the general director of FAPEL GUINÉE responded in these terms: “we said to ourselves that with the temperature that is recorded in the country in general and in Labe in particular, it’s huge, I remember in the 80s until the 90s even in March there was freshness in Labe. But today Labe, displays a temperature which can sometimes exceed 40°, a situation which is caused by cutting wood. It is in the search for a solution to overcome this situation that we invented this technology. So, our stoves greatly reduce the cutting of wood, these stoves are also a solution to the use of charcoal.”
In the process, our interlocutor did not fail to express wishes and launched an invitation to the transitional authorities.
“We are developing this technology first for Guinea, already there are many countries that are interested in technology transfer. We are going to train young people around this, ask institutions, the State especially the Ministry of the Environment to help us have documents to be able to work with GAC (Guinea Alumina Corporation), Rio Tinto and many others institutions, since others like Vivo Energy are interested in the project, so why not the others with the support of the authorities to protect the environment together? », he concludes.
Note that the stove is sold at 800 thousand Guinean francs per unit.
