Gonda: Kaiserganj MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s troubles are increasing continuously. With time, the confidence in contesting Lok Sabha elections has also started eroding. Recently, he himself was seen expressing doubts about entering the election field this time. Now the decision of Delhi’s Rahul Avenue Court regarding Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has almost dashed his hopes. The court has refused to give relief to Brij Bhushan. The court has made it clear that there will be no re-investigation of the case registered against him. Rouse Avenue Court rejected the petition related to re-investigation of the allegations. Through the application, the former Wrestling Federation of India president and Kaiserganj MP had sought directions to the Delhi Police to further investigate the allegations of sexual harassment leveled against him. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Priyanka Rajput said the court will pronounce its verdict on framing of charges on May 7.
danger looms on the future
With this, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s future of contesting elections is in danger. It is believed that Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh will not be able to contest the Lok Sabha elections this time. Actually, elections are to be held on Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat in the fifth phase. The nomination process for this has started from 26th April. The last date for filing nomination forms is May 3. Whereas, scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on 4th May. Names can be withdrawn till May 6. Elections for Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat are to be held on May 20.
After the start of the election process, the atmosphere is heating up from Gonda to Kaiserganj. In such a situation, it is believed that soon Bharatiya Janata Party will announce the name of the candidate for Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat. Actually, the lineup for Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat is not ready yet. Due to BJP’s silence, SP and BSP have also maintained silence.
BJP can bet on Ketki
Bharatiya Janata Party can bet on former MP Ketki Singh from Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat. Ketaki Singh is the wife of Brijbhushan Sharan Singh. She had earlier also contested the elections after Brijbhushan Sharan Singh got entangled in the TADA case and was successful in registering victory. Once again the Bharatiya Janata Party may try to woo the opponents by bringing him forward. However, right now no one seems to be refusing to say anything in this matter. It is believed that Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh will contest this seat.
The BJP election campaign committee can approve the name of whichever candidate Brij Bhushan decides to make. In fact, considering the hold of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in Gonda, Kaiserganj and surrounding areas, the party is in no mood to take any big risk. At the same time, after opening the cards of BJP, names of candidates of Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party can also be revealed.
