New Delhi: A senior officer of the Central Reserve Police Force has been accused of sexual harassment. According to sources, women have accused CRPF DIG that he used to do dirty things with them. Following the allegations, orders have been given to dismiss the officer. This action has been taken on the recommendation of the Central Public Service Commission (UPSC) and the approval of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) after the government investigation found the allegations to be true. The country’s largest paramilitary force submitted a report to the UPSC following allegations of sexual harassment by several female CRPF personnel, following which the MHA had requested for its dismissal.

Home Ministry’s approval to dismiss the officer

A senior officer told news agency ANI that the CRPF investigated the officer’s conduct, completed the process as per rules and sent the report to UPSC. UPSC later advised dismissal from service, which was also approved by the Home Ministry. On this basis, CRPF has issued dismissal notice. There are two allegations against him, in one case dismissal proceedings have been initiated, the other case is still under investigation. He had earlier rejected these allegations as completely false and claimed that they were made to tarnish his image. The CRPF force, comprising about 3.25 lakh personnel, became the first force to induct women into combat contingents in 1986.
