Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Iraq“>Fuad Hussein, confirmed to his Bahraini counterpart, Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, that Iraq seeks to have an effective role in the Arab summit scheduled to be held next month in Bahrain.

The media office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement received by the (INA), that “Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein received on Sunday the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani in Baghdad, and at the beginning of the meeting Al-Zayani offered his condolences to the minister on the death of his wife, Expressing his sincere condolences to him and the honorable family, praying to God Almighty to cover the deceased with his vast mercy.”
For his part, the Minister expressed his thanks and gratitude to his Bahraini counterpart for his condolences and sympathy.
The statement added, “During the meeting, they reviewed the fraternal bilateral relations that bind the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen and develop them in a way that serves common interests. The agenda of the 33rd Arab Summit scheduled to be held next month in Bahrain was discussed, as its holding coincides with the presence of many challenges.” .
He continued: “In this regard, the Minister stressed that Iraq seeks to have an effective role in this summit and is working to achieve high-level coordination with the Arab brothers to make the summit a success. The two sides also discussed the regional developments taking place in the region, especially the current events in Gaza and the continuing attacks of the occupying authority in the territories.” “The two parties agreed on the need to intensify joint efforts to achieve stability in the region.”
