Türkiye launches a visa for “digital nomads”…and these are the countries available to it!

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Turkey announced the launch of a visa called “Digital Nomads,” noting that applications will be accepted from qualified applicants between the ages of 21 and 55 years.

The Ministry confirmed that the “Digital Nomads” visa will be available to citizens from a selected list of countries, namely: France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland, Denmark, Greece, Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Bulgaria, Romania, and Norway. Iceland, Liechtenstein, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States of America, Canada, the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Belarus.

The ministry stipulated in a statement, “To obtain a visa, the applicant must have a university degree and be an employee or self-employed person, or have an employment contract for a company outside Turkey. Interested persons must also have proof that they receive a salary of $3,000 per month.” Or 36 thousand dollars annually.”

According to the ministry, “Applicants will need a passport or travel document valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Turkey.”

She added: “After submitting all this information, and if the documents are sufficient, a “Digital Nomad Identity Certificate” will be issued, and then applicants will have to visit a Turkish visa center or consulate with this certificate to receive the actual visa stamp.”

According to the ministry, “Digital nomads can now apply for a visa to enter Turkey easily from the Digital Nomad Pre-Application Platform Digital Nomad GoTürkiye as part of a program by the Tourism Promotion and Development Agency of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism to attract digital nomads.”

Turkey is one of the cities most visited by tourists in the world, and thanks to its strong technological infrastructure, it has become a popular destination for remote workers in recent years, and through mobile digital work, visitors can extend their stay in Turkey.
