Several Israeli companies, in particular Diplomat and Nestle, announced planned price increases for their products from the beginning of May. The cost of goods is expected to increase by 3-15 percent. Among the products that will rise in price: government-controlled milk (by 4.5 percent), ice cream (7.55 percent), as well as Jacobs coffee, Heinz mayonnaise, Milka chocolate, Pringles, Oreo, Kellogg’s cereal, Fairy dish liquid.
In addition, in Israel, the German company Henkel raises prices for its goods by 20 percent. Products such as Persil, Perwoll, Silan, Brief, Fa, Hawaii, Schwarzkopf will become more expensive in supermarkets. The Maadaney Yehiam company, which produces deli meats, will also join in raising prices.
It is noted that the increase in prices for food and various goods is due to a number of factors, including increased costs of production, transportation and raw materials.
