(24News) Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz says that the Punjab government is committed to providing quality health services to the people of the province.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated a new day care ward in the hospital. The Chief Minister said while talking to the media that the provincial government is making efforts to overcome the shortage of doctors in remote areas of Punjab. He said that every penny of the national exchequer belongs to the people and the government is committed to spend this money on improving the health sector.
Maryam Nawaz visited the Children’s Hospital where the Chief Minister was briefed by the hospital administration about the treatment facilities in the hospital. The Chief Minister also signed an MoU regarding the construction of a new building for children’s health in the hospital. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced the construction of a new ICU unit in the Children’s Hospital and directed the Divisional to issue funds for the Children’s Hospital ICU and complete it soon. While building a hospital at the headquarters, he directed the provincial ministers to visit the hospital daily.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited the day care center and reviewed the facilities available. She directed the staff of the day care center to take care of the children. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also visited the Children’s and Pediatric Ward and met the parents of the sick children and directed the MS to solve the problems immediately.

Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb accompanied Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Provincial Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique and Khawaja Imran Nazir were also with the Chief Minister. MPA Sania Ashiq, Dr. Adnan Khan, Secretary Health Ali Jan, Secretary Information Ahmed Aziz Tarar and other officials were present on the occasion.
