jpnn.comJAKARTA – Communications expert Anthony Leong said that Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok still has the desire to run in the DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada) on November 27.
Anthony conveyed this in response to Ahok’s video upload on his personal Instagram social media account @basukibtp, Friday (26/4), which contained a narrative inviting the public to ask him about Jakarta.
“I think Ahok still has the desire to become governor by winning the battle with his own efforts,” said Anthony in a written statement received in Jakarta, Sunday (28/4).
According to Anthony, Ahok’s reappearance to the public by discussing the problems of the city of Jakarta is a signal for the return of the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) politician as leader of Jakarta.
He believes that Ahok still has the desire to become regional head.
“In 2014, Ahok became governor because Jokowi became president. “In 2017, Ahok lost to Anies Baswedan, Ahok still called his soul,” he said.
Apart from that, Anthony said that signals that Ahok would compete in the upcoming regional elections had emerged before the 2024 presidential election. He also considered that Ahok was the right figure to be promoted by the PDIP as a candidate for Governor of Jakarta.
“It is also clear that Ahok’s resignation from Pertamina and supporting Ganjar in the last 1 to 2 weeks leading up to the 2024 Presidential Election is a political barter with PDIP so that Ahok gets a ticket from PDIP in the Jakarta Governor election,” he said.
It is said that Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok still has the desire to run for the Jakarta gubernatorial election.
